This Cookies Policy explains how Destination.ma ("we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (www.destination.ma), including its mobile version and the app you can add to your phone's home screen. In line with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, it explains what cookies are, how we use them and how you can manage your choices.

1. Our consent approach

When you first visit Destination.ma, a cookie banner appears. As it says: "We use cookies to run the site and, with your consent, to measure its audience."

  • Strictly necessary cookies load automatically: they keep the site secure, working and stable.
  • Audience measurement cookies load only after you click Accept. If you decline, they never load. You can change your mind at any time (see section 5).

2. The cookies we use

Across our experiences (Stays, Riads, Tours, Cars, Events, Boats, Salons), our travel guides and our directory of businesses, cookies fall into two groups.

A. Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to what you do, for example:

  • Your session: keeping you signed in securely, as a traveller or in the partner area.
  • Language and currency: remembering the language you chose (FR, EN, AR) and the currency prices are shown in (MAD, EUR, USD, GBP).
  • Your booking: keeping the dates and options you chose while you complete a booking.
  • Security: protecting forms and accounts against misuse and unauthorised access.

B. Audience measurement cookies (only with your consent)

These let us count visits, see where visitors come from and measure how the site performs, so we can improve it. They help us understand:

  • which stays, tours or travel guides are viewed most and least;
  • how visitors move between the directory, offer pages and booking pages;
  • technical problems, such as pages that load slowly.

3. The directory of businesses

Destination.ma shows a public directory of businesses that are not yet partners (name, public address, public contact details). Directory pages follow the same rules as the rest of the site: no measurement cookie is set before you accept. To tell businesses how many people contacted them, we count clicks on buttons such as "Call", "WhatsApp" or "Website" without cookies and without identifying you: only the page and the button are recorded.

4. Where your choice is kept

Your choice (accept or decline) is saved in your own browser, on your device. It is not sent to our servers or linked to your account, so it applies to the browser and device you used. We process personal data in line with Law No. 09-08, under the supervision of the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP).

5. How to manage cookies

You can manage, restrict or delete cookies at any time:

  • On our site: choose "Accept" or "Decline" on the banner. To change your choice later, delete this site's data in your browser: the banner appears again on your next visit.
  • In your browser settings: set your browser (Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge…) to warn you before cookies are stored, to block third-party cookies or to delete the cookies already stored.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of Destination.ma from working, such as signing in to your account or booking.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookies Policy as the site or Moroccan law changes. Any change will be published on this page with a new date. For any question about your data, write to us at [email protected].
